Artists' Choice Exhibit
At the Somerville Museum
April 18 through May 16, 2008 | Opening Reception April 17, 2008 / 6 - 9 pm

All registered participants of Somerville Open Studios 2008 are invited to participate in this salon-style group show at the Somerville Museum. The opening reception provides a great opportunity to meet other artists, see each other's work, have some fun and build community. Many SOS visitors plan their weekend destinations by first previewing works displayed at the Artists' Choice Exhibit. The show can be viewed during regular Museum hours and special extended hours on SOS weekend (see below for a full listing of exhibit hours).

The Somerville Museum has graciously waived their normal 20% commission on sales. All proceeds from sales will go to the artist. Interested buyers will asked to contact the artist directly. If necessary to facilitate a sale, work may be taken down at the conclusion of SOS weekend. Otherwise, all pieces will remain on display through the end of the exhibit on May 16. The museum will be hosting a public concert featuring classical music by Duo Maresienne on Mothers' Day, May 11, providing additional exposure for participating artists.
